Our Classes
Our school is currently organised into 3 classes:

The 3 separate classes run every morning for Literacy and Maths.
Buttermere class is taught separately every afternoon. Mrs Henderson teaches for 3.5 days. Mrs Wilson teaches JIGSAW PSHE during one afternoon, and Mrs Lewis teaches all day Friday – Literacy, Maths, Art and RE.
Crummock and Loweswater are taught separately every morning for Literacy and Maths. Their main teachers for these subjects are Mrs Wilson and Mrs Fielden, respectively and supported by Mrs Lewis. Mrs Harrison (Head of School) teaches each class’ Literacy and Numeracy for one morning per week.
For 2 afternoons, Crummock and Loweswater are taught separately. Due to the wider age range, we have chosen the subjects that are taught on these days, carefully. During these two afternoons, the classes have PSHE (Mrs Wilson) and PE (Mrs Harrison), and Science (Mrs Harrison) and Art/RE (Mrs Lewis).
On the remaining 3 afternoons, the children in Crummock and Loweswater are taught as a whole KS2 by Mrs Harrison. French and Music are taught weekly. Other Foundation Subjects (History, Geography, DT, Computing) tend to be taught in blocks. During these afternoons, Mrs Harrison is supported by Mrs Lewis or Mrs N Tyson.
