Our Head of School

Dear Parent/Carer,

I hope this website and our prospectus will give you some insight into what Lorton School has to offer. However, in order to get a true picture, I would encourage you to gain a first hand experience by arranging to come and see what a wonderful and exciting place it is.

I believe strongly in the family ethos that is evident at Lorton from the minute you walk into our entrance hall. Our family approach ensures that children feel happy, safe and secure. With this sense of feeling firmly in place we can then be sure that children are ready and able to learn and make great progress.

I am very proud of the fact that children settle in easily to life at Lorton School and quickly become a part of the whole school family.

Throughout their seven years here, I watch them flourish as individuals, each one recognising their strengths. Lorton School sends well rounded, confident children on to secondary school, children who are individuals with sound academic achievements of which to be proud.

If you would like to come and see us, please contact the office to arrange a visit. I would be more than happy to show you around our school and give you the time to talk with me so that I can answer any questions you may have. In the meantime, please take some time to browse our website and see some wonderful photo slideshows that will give you a flavour of the variety of activities that go on at Lorton School.  I work closely with Mrs Laker, Executive Headteacher, to ensure all our children have memorable learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom that all contribute to our bespoke curriculum and extra curriculum offer, as well as helping children build positive relationships with both fellow pupils and the adults in school.

If you send your child to Lorton, I look forward to welcoming you into our school family, so that we can work as partners to ensure your child has a wonderfully, enriching time at school.

Yours sincerely,

Olivia Harrison
